The official name for a jet wash in construction is a ‘water bowser’. They aren’t your normal jet washers that get used for cleaning your driveway or patio. These industrial jet washers can weigh around 1 tonne.
If they’re on wheels, they can be pushed around if the surface is right, but sometimes need to be lifted by cranes to areas that can’t be wheeled to.
These jet washes are mostly used by concrete gangs. If an area is being prepared for concrete, the gangs might wash the deck to get rid of excess dirt or rubbish before the pour.
They’ll also use them to clean concrete skips, pump pipes, tools, and such like, after concreting.
Slingers should not assume that certain parts of the machine can be used for attaching chains for slinging. They also shouldn’t assume that all scissor lifts get slung the same way. Each manufacturer has their own designed ways of lifting these machines, which will be specified in their manuals.

This bowser has no wheels. It has specific lifting points at the top on each corner. All four legs of four-leg lifting chains must be used to lift this.
