I’m joined by Renée Breen, an apprentice working towards a Level 4 HNC in Naval Architecture.
We talk about how she nearly took the university route before choosing an apprenticeship instead, what naval architecture looks like, and how stepping from classroom learning into real industry pushed her well outside her comfort zone.
Renée shares her experience of moving away from home for the opportunity, learning from experienced people on placement, and developing in a specialist field that many people know very little about.
