Static pumps are large pumps that send concrete through pipes to areas that can’t be reached by concrete lorries or other means.
Static pumps usually weigh around 6500kg.
They stay in one position. Concrete lorries back up to the hopper to pour concrete in, then the pump sends the concrete to the destination.
Static pumps often pump concrete up high-rise buildings, so they use a lot of pressure. In this instance, the concrete gets dispersed by a placing boom at the top.
