Post Tensioning Strand, or PT coil for short, helps to create pre-stressed or post-tensioned concrete. The steel wire gets placed amongst all the steel reinforcement rebar and tensioned prior to concrete being poured. When the concrete has cured, the tensioning of the strands gets released, which puts the concrete into compression.
The coil gets lifted into a frame, where the strand gets fed through ducts, using a machine.
