Man riders carry personnel to do temporary works on areas that things like scissor lifts and cherry pickers might not reach.
The people can stand in the man rider, with or without tools, then get it close to where they need so that they can work from the opening on the sides of the man rider while it stays suspended by the crane.
Man riders also get used to lift personnel to certain levels of a project that there’s no other access to.
