Vacuum lifters are special devices with sucker pads that stick onto the face of facades to lift them.
There are ones designed for lifting glass panels, as well is ones designed for cladding. The lifters for cladding usually have a dual pump and have suckers that adapt to the contours of the cladding.
Vacuum lifters come as in-line lifters for narrow facades or wider ones for the bigger lifts.
The wind speed limit for using vacuum lifters depends on each manufacturer and the lift plan for each site. The general rule of thumb is between 15-18mph.
The temperature cut-off is usually 0-40°C. Also, they shouldn’t be used in wet conditions.
