Evenly spreading the weight of loads on decks or slabs
When each level of a building is being made up, there needs to be careful consideration for the amount of weight that’s put in each area of each deck. The maximum weight limits of loads to be placed in certain areas will be stated in the method statements.

The image shows a classic case of weight not being distributed evenly. The timbers (bites) that the steel rests on should be running across the Alumas that are underneath the decking, rather than alongside.
It’s resulted in the ply that forms the decking to warp and not be fixed down properly.
